Who else would you book to open the first Guest spot of 2015 but Jim Sharp, the singer who launched a thousand folk clubs.
And he did it in rousing style. Literally, playing his fingers to the bone, he delivered an array of contemporary folk songs to please the large and appreciative audience.
Songs by Stan Rodgers, Alistair Hulett and Ewan McColl peppered the evening and left those present wanting more.
If this guest slot sets the standard for 2015, it promises to be some year.
